Today was the first day back to school! For everybody! Jake got started at preschool. He’s in the 3 year old class. We dropped him off this morning and he did great until we stayed a little too long to say goodbye. Then he started to get a little teary eyed. He knows the teachers well and even knew most of the kids in his class. It must have been just the first day jitters. He was all smiles when we picked him up this afternoon…

Brockers got off to a good start on our very first day of homeschooling. We started off the day with math, critical thinking, reading, piano, then followed up with the rest of the subjects. Our first day went really smooth and so that was very comforting to both of us! He is looking forward to his first day of science group class tomorrow that meets once a week with other homeschoolers.

While Brock worked on his lessons and I peeked in on him, Cole was having school of his own.

He played with the blocks, then the globe, and this new stacking peg game we have. It actually kept him occupied for a little while, then we played together. The only mishap we had of the day was… while I was doing our critical thinking lesson, I gave Cole some crayons and a picture of a kitten to color. He was quiet and so I thought he was coloring. Little did I know he was eating the crayons…

I think next time he can just have snack during our lesson!!
