As the Holy Week draws to a close, tonight we can reflect on the work that Christ did on the cross for all of us. It was this day about 2000 years ago that God’s son Jesus was tortured and died on a cross and paid the price for our sins. He did this so that we could have eternal life.


But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
